For some years now Solid State Drives (SSDs), based on flash memory, have existed as an alternative to conventional hard disks. This document is dedicated to frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the topic SSD. It deals with technical aspects of conventional SSDs, PCIe-SSDs and DOM (Disk On Module), paying particular attention to lifespan, but also provides information about the optimal use of SSDs in the PRIMERGY server family.
